Therapy can benefit anyone looking to improve their mental health, strengthen relationships, or gain support during challenging times. At Heart Space Counseling Center, our therapists help individuals, couples, and families navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and more. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply want to grow, therapy can be a powerful first step.
Getting started is simple. Visit our contact page and fill out our contact form, send us a text or email to request a free phone consultation or schedule your first appointment. We offer therapy in and around Lakewood, Colorado, throughout Denver, and online for clients across the state.
We specialize in therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, grief, relationship issues, family conflict, parenting support, codependency, life transitions, and more. Our licensed therapists also provide marriage counseling, couples therapy, and individual therapy for dating and relational patterns.
Sessions are typically 50-75 minutes long. Most clients meet weekly, especially at the beginning, to build momentum and see progress. Your therapist will work with you to determine a schedule that fits your needs and goals.

At Heart Space Counseling Center, session fees vary by clinician and service type. Most 50-minute sessions range from $175 to $250. Because we are a private pay practice, we do not bill insurance directly. Many of our clients use out-of-network benefits, health savings accounts (HSAs/FSAs), or CareCredit to help cover costs. We're happy to provide receipts for reimbursement.
We recommend scheduling a free consultation call to discuss your needs, learn more about our clinicians, and review fees in detail before starting therapy.

Yes. Therapy sessions are confidential, and your privacy is protected under HIPAA. The only exceptions involve safety concerns, such as risk of harm to self or others, or cases involving abuse or neglect, as required by law.
Yes, we offer secure, HIPAA-compliant online therapy for individuals and couples throughout Colorado. Sessions are held via Zoom and are just as effective as in-person therapy for many clients.
Yes. We offer in-person sessions at our Lakewood, CO counseling office. Some clients prefer in-office therapy for the grounded, face-to-face connection, while others opt for virtual sessions.
Online therapy offers increased flexibility and convenience, especially for busy professionals, parents, and clients in rural areas of Colorado. Virtual sessions save time on travel and can be done from the comfort of your home. For clients who feel more comfortable in their own space, online therapy can enhance openness and emotional safety. In contrast, in-person therapy at our Lakewood counseling office offers a grounding physical presence and is ideal for those who value a face-to-face connection. Both formats are effective, and we’re happy to help you decide which is best for you.
That’s okay. Therapy is a safe space where you set the pace. You never have to talk about anything before you’re ready. Our therapists work gently and collaboratively, building trust over time.
We believe the therapist-client relationship is essential. If your therapist doesn’t feel like the right match, we will help connect you with another provider within Heart Space Counseling Center or offer a referral to a trusted colleague. Your comfort and progress are our top priorities.
